Rainbow Club Mini-Grants

The Rainbow Club is offering three mini-grants to support events led by LGBTQAI+
students and their allies at Hostos Community College. Each grant provides $1,000 total: a
$500 stipend that recognizes your time and labor, and a $500 budget to bring your event to
life.
We want to hear about what matters to you.

What kind of event?
Whatever speaks to Rainbow Club members and allies: the issues, ideas, and joys you
want to share with our community. Your event might be:
- An educational workshop or teach-in
- An action or organizing event
- A celebration, gathering, or party
- Anything else you’re passionate about bringing to campus
We’re keeping this wide open on purpose. We’re genuinely looking forward to hearing what
you have in mind.
Two requirements:
- Your event centers on something you, as an LGBTQAI+ community member, care about.
- It takes place on the Hostos campus during the spring 2027 semester, before the last day
of classes.

The award
Three grants will be awarded. Each includes:
$500 stipend— for your time and effort planning and hosting the event
$500 budget— to cover the costs of putting the event on
$1,000 total per grant
Timeline

Winners announced | Mid-to-late November 2026
Planning period | After finals — December 2026 and January 2027
