The Madruga Family Scholarship

The Madruga Family Financial Need: This scholarship assists students facing outstanding medical bills, overdue electric bills, past-due childcare bills, assistance with books, tuition balances, and other education-related expenses

The Madruga Family Living Expenses: Students who are currently facing housing or eviction issues, which may prevent them from completing their courses for the current semester.
To qualify, students must:

• Submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, staff member, academic advisor, guidance counselor, supervisor, or employer.
• Be currently enrolled as a Hostos student
• Answer all supplemental questions
• Have a demonstrated need (only housing or eviction issues or facing outstanding medical bills, overdue electric bills, past-due childcare bills, assistance with books, tuition balances, and other academic-related reasons who are eligible to apply).
• Submit documentation that supports the needs described in the Scholarship application
• Apply through the Scholarship website (paper applications will not be accepted)
  Once awarded, this scholarship is a one-time opportunity.
  All applications and required materials must be submitted online through the scholarship system. Paper applications will not be accepted, and incomplete applications will not be considered.
