The Paula L. Zajan Early Childhood Education Scholarship

Dr. Paula Zajan, professor and founder of the Early Childhood Education Program, died in June 1988. Dr. Zajan was a dedicated teacher who taught students her love of learning and teaching. She bequeathed the college funds to start a scholarship in her name. Dr. Zajan loved life and people and saw beauty in individuals from all walks of life. She was devoted and committed to the Early Childhood Education Program and Hostos Community College. Her contributions have enriched the lives of many students. Her magnificent spirit continues in the legacy she left behind.
To be eligible, students must:

• Submit two letters of recommendation from faculty and staff
• Write an essay describing career and professional goals
• Provide an acceptance letter from a 4-year college
• Be graduating on or before 08/30/2025
• Must Attend Honors Convocation
  *ONCE AWARDED, THIS IS A ONE-TIME SCHOLARSHIP
