The Carmine Family Scholarship for Students Enrolled in the ESL Sequence

The Carmine Family Scholarship has been established to support full-time students in the academic ESL Sequence. One (1) $500 award will be granted per semester. Eligible applicants must:

  • Be fully matriculated at Hostos Community College for at least one academic year
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Submit an essay (maximum 500 words) detailing a current challenge they are facing and how receiving this scholarship will benefit them and get them closer to their career goals.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a Hostos or CUNY faculty member, staff member, academic advisor or success coach

All applications and required materials must be submitted through the scholarship system by the set deadline for consideration. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
