Cocco De Filippis Family Scholarship

This merit-based $500 scholarship is awarded annually to one (1) student with demonstrable community engagement and academic achievement who intends to use their degree to empower their community. The scholarship will be awarded to fully matriculated students who have completed at least one semester. Eligible applicants must:

• Demonstrate significant community service
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Submit short essay responses to the following question:
• How will you use your degree to give back to your community
• Please describe your history of community service whether at Hostos or in your local community
  This award is granted without consideration of financial aid or immigrant status.
  Students must attend Honors Convocation
