The Manuel Gonzalo Coballes Scholarship Fund for Allied Health Students

The Manuel Gonzalo Coballes Scholarship Fund for Allied Health Students will be used to award scholarships that help defray the cost of tuition, fees, and other costs of attendance for two matriculated students. Applications will be reviewed by the COLLEGE’s Scholarship Office and Scholarship Committee.

To be eligible,
• Students entering their first semester at the COLLEGE must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) in high school.
• Students continuing at the COLLEGE must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) on courses completed at Hostos.
• Applicants must be already accepted or planning to apply to an Allied Health program at the COLLEGE (i.e. Dental Hygiene, Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Radiologic Technology)
• Applicants must have financial need, as determined by the COLLEGE’S Financial Aid Director (or equivalent) and/or students’ FAFSA (or equivalent)
• Applicants must write and submit to the Scholarship Office an essay of 500 words describing their goals, why they are pursuing studies in Allied Health, and what a career in Allied Health means to them.
