NYCHA-CUNY Resident Scholarship Program
For 2022 NYCHA offers multiple scholarships to support our residents as they increase their income and assets through higher education. All scholarships award one-time $1,000 grants to eligible residents who are pursuing undergraduate degrees at a City University of New York (CUNY) college.
NYCHA-CUNY Resident Scholarship – for NYCHA residents who are full-time undergraduates at a City University of New York (CUNY) college
Regina A. Figueroa Memorial Scholarship – for NYCHA residents with a documented disability who are either part-time or full-time undergraduates at a CUNY college
Levine Family Scholarship – for NYCHA residents who are full-time undergraduates at the City College of New York (CCNY)
Kofi Hormeku Scholarship – for NYCHA residents residing in Brownsville, East New York or Ocean Hill, Brooklyn who are full-time undergraduates at a CUNY college
Kisha Jackson Memorial Scholarship – for NYCHA residents living in Downtown Brooklyn who are full-time undergraduates at a CUNY college
NYCHA Youth Pathways – for NYCHA residents 18-24 who are full-time undergraduates at a City University of New York (CUNY) college
Amazon NYCHA-CUNY Scholarship – for NYCHA Residents who are full-time undergraduates at a City University of New York (CUNY) college
Eligibility Criteria: Authorized NYCHA public housing residents and Section 8 recipients; enrolled undergraduate CUNY students; 24 or more credits; minimum 3.0 GPA.
The application must be submitted online by July 14th, 2022.
Everyone must apply online via the NYCHA self-service portal. If you don’t already have access, you must create a username and password. If you have any questions or need to request additional information, please send an email to scholarships@nycha.nyc.gov.
