The Slater-Millner Scholars Fund Ascension Medical Educators Aspiring Physicians Program
The Slater-Millner Scholars Fund is partnering with UNCF to support the Ascension Medical Educators (AME) – Aspiring Physicians Program. The program enhances the diversity of the physician workforce by providing expert academic advising, mentoring, and professional development services to pre-medical students who are under-represented in medicine, and by optimizing participants’ consideration for medical school admission.
Individuals are eligible to receive up to $15,000
Application Eligibility Criteria:
M
minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
U.S. Citizen, U.S. National or Permanent Resident, or DACA eligible student
Rising sophomore undergraduate student
Enrolled in an accredited, four-year, U.S. located college/university at the time of application
African American/Black, Hispanic American/Latinx, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hmong, Cambodian, Vietnamese, or Native Hawaiian
On the curricular track for Pre-Medical Major or comparable curricular track for Allopathic of Osteopathic Medicine
Preference will be given to applicants who reside in or are permanent residents of, the state of Massachusetts.
