The 1199 SEIU Scholarship

Thanks to the generous support of 1199 SEIU, the Hostos Community College Foundation would like to offer 10 scholarships of $500 each, to students in financial need and with a declared major in the Allied Health field. The Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time or part-time need-based student who is pursuing an associate degree in Allied Health. The student must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher. A personal statement essay must be included explaining the applicant’s career goals, and aspirations and how receiving this award will help them achieve their educational goal. All supplemental questions must also be answered. Applications must be submitted online through the scholarship system and no incomplete applications will be accepted. Recipients must be available to participate at the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration which will take place on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 5:30 PM, in the Savoy Multipurpose room where the scholarships will be presented.
