Freya Moskowitz Stern Scholarship for Transfer Students

THE FREYA MOSKOWITZ STERN SCHOLARSHIP is named in memory of our Finch College graduate through a generous donation from her family. It is awarded annually to FOUR Community College female in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area who are transferring to any accredited four-year college in The United States. Each scholarship totals to $5,000 and is awarded in two segments: $2,500 upon acceptance to the four-year college, and another $2,500 upon entering her final term before graduation.

Who is eligible?
– Second year female students age 22 and above
– Currently enrolled in a Community College in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut
– GPA of 3.5

Applications Must:
– Submit a convenient narrative in less than 1000 words stating why you should be the recipient of this scholarship
– Enclose a current resume
– Enclose an official or unofficial transcript
– Submit two PDF letters of recommendation from faculty members, stating the applicant’s work experience and academic achievements.
– Proof of age over 22 (driver license, birth certificate or official documentation)
– Proof of citizenship or US Green card.
