The Student Government Association Merit Scholarship Award

The Student Government Association MERIT Scholarship is now available for Hostos students and is earned through academic achievements.
Upon eligibility, 15 students will be selected and awarded up to $500.

Eligibility Criteria:
● Must maintain a GPA of 3.0
● Demonstrated commitment to Community service
● Must obtain a letter of recommendation from either Hostos faculty and staff, work
or a community service agency
● With a minimum of 250 words & maximum of 500 words answer ONE of the following questions:
1. How will graduating in your current area of study help you make an impact/difference in our society under the current administration?
2. What inspired you to pursue your major?

Award: $500
Deadline: 1/13/19

PLEASE NOTE:
If nominated as a possible recipient for this scholarship, you must fill out a W9 form in order to receive your scholarship award.
